Your School and Free Meals Provision

If you are managing your school’s meals, you should have been contacted about the National Voucher Scheme for the provision of free school meals by their chosen provider. You can find the full government guidance, here.

Or, you may want to order your e-gift cards directly from Asda For Business. You can register online here. Or please call us 0333 207 9661 and we’ll do our very best to help. Our e-gift cards can of course be spent in any one of our stores and now online at groceries.asda.com

Have you been contacted, yet?

The scheme currently covers schools across England and is through the Department for Education. The Government’s chosen provider, Edenred, should have contacted you by email, letting you know the details of the National Voucher Scheme for free school meals. They have been sending the emails from Tuesday 31 March to the email address which The Department for Education holds for your school. If you haven’t had the email by Thursday 2nd April, take a look in your junk folder. If it’s still not there, here are some useful contacts and resources below:

If you’re a school admin you can email Edenred, here.

You can find more on the Government’s launch of the voucher scheme, here.

You can see the Government’s guidance of free school meals funding during the Covid-19 outbreak, here.
